Henry County Building Inspector Jake Doyle drafted a proposed ordinance to require certification of electricians and plumbers. Blackberry District Supervisor Elmer E. Dalton criticized that, saying that he first should have consulted with the Board of Supervisors.
Nortasha Evette Graves and William Tyrone Moore of Axton were tricked through their kindness into a robbery. She opened the door to a woman at 6 a.m. The woman said she had car trouble and asked to come in to use to phone to call for help, and Graves allowed her to. Then the woman asked if her children could come into warm up, and Graves said “Certainly.” Instead of children, in came a man who said the children were wrapped up in coats – but then came in another man to rob them.
