Annex: The King Collections

The marvelous collections displayed in the museum’s new annex are those of Dr. Mervyn and Mrs. Virginia King, who spent more than six decades scouring the United States and Europe for top-of-the-line artifacts which show how life was in days gone past.

They financed construction of the 13,000-square-foot annex which was completed in August 2024 to display their collections for generations to enjoy and learn.

Now they (Dr. King, pictured at left, and Mrs. King, at right) are setting up all the displays, aided by the invaluable volunteer Jack Stewart (center).

See the following pages of our Winter 2024-25 newsletter which give a peek into how it’s being done. Meanwhile, come visit the museum - the top floor of the annex is open now, and the other floor will be open in the summer.
